National BSA Registration/Pack 281 Dues

Annual Dues
Cub Scouts is a full 12-month program for both scouts and their families. The annual dues are $300*, which breaks down to only $25 a month with 3-4 activities available to your scout (and family) to participate in each month. A portion of the dues go to support the National and Local BSA councils which support the individual packs, local camps, etc... The other portion goes directly to our Pack to offer programs and activities on a monthly basis. The breakdown is listed below.
National/Local BSA fees ($165 per year)
Pack 281 fees ($100 per year)
*Annual subscription to Scouts Life magazine is optional and costs an additional $15 per scout
***The Pack 281 fees covers all standard advancements, awards, Class B Uniform, all Pack event costs, and Misc Pack expenditures.
Registration/Payment
This year, we prefer dues to be sent electronically via either PayPal or Zelle. For both of these options, you can send your payment to treasurergrpack281@gmail.com. If you do not have PayPal or Zelle, please reach out to Dena Eldred (grpack281@gmail.com), and we can arrange an alternate method.
Fundraising
Fundraising plays an important role in Scouting and in the quality of the activities we can offer the scouts. A scout is also "Thrifty" and learns how to earn their way. Therefore, your scout will be encouraged to participate in fundraising throughout the year to help support the Packs ongoing expenses and allow for extra unplanned activities such as pack campouts, summer barbeques, leader training, etc.…
